Zoo Class -- Ani-Moves!

Our zoo class today was all about how animals move! We learned a really fun song to the same tune as "Wheels on the Bus"! The boys loved it!

" The elephant moves his trunk up and down, up and down, up and down ... the elephant moves his trunk up and down, all through the zoo."

Noel, of course, made a new girlfriend during our class. The boy is a playa!

Tanner was mesmerized by the "tropical bird". I think that was all he said for a 1/2 hour after seeing this cockatoo.

All three loved watching the monkeys play on the island.

Hayden was trying to scale the fence to go and "Me pet!" the giraffe.

We ended our visit with a train ride around the zoo.



All three boys had big smiles and said "Cheese!"

A climb through the spider web in the Children's Zoo completed our day!

Back to the Lake

Tanner really enjoyed himself at the Lake. He found driftwood, ran through the water after the birds, pointed out all the fishing boats and speed boats, and played in the waves.





Hayden loves the water. And with his new Puddle Jumper coast guard approved life vest, we can swim and float all by himself. Many, MANY thanks to a fellow triplet mom, Laney, for this recommendation. Worth.every.penny!!! (And on sale now, too!)







Noel didn't venture in the water much. He was content to pick up sticks and rocks, and then drop them in the water to watch them make a big splash!

Otterville

We had such a good time at Otterville the other day! I missed so many great pictures, but I was having too much fun to remember to get out my camera.

Here are a couple I could take while the boys were occupied in the ball pit and slide area:

Bouncy House!

We went to a great indoor place called Run! Jump! Play!. It was so much fun -- the boys got a great work out. I was a little nervous because some of these inflatable slides are HIGH, but the boys didn't seem to even hesitate once.

Check out this huge shark slide ... Hayden must have gone on this thing 20+ times ... in a row!


Noel loved the slides, too. He concentrated so hard on climbing up to get to the top, and laughed and screamed the whole way down the slide!


Hayden again proved to be such a brute. Honest to goodness, the boy will be a linebacker someday (and I pity the poor quarterback on the other team). Check out his climbing up this wall that was over 25 feet high! To put it in perspective, even I struggled to get up this wall!

Chick-Fil-A Cow Day 2009

For those of you who live under a rock (or not close to a Chick-Fil-A), Friday was "Cow Appreciation Day". If you come dressed as cow, you get a free combo meal at Chick-Fil-A.

This was our second year participating in the event! We went to Chick-Fil-A and had a great time telling everyone to "EAT" - "MOR" - "CHICKEN"! (We practiced each boy's word the whole week and it paid off!)



Even Daddy got in on the action and wore his cow hat!

We got to meet a really cool cow and give him high fives!


Then we had our delicious lunch complete with lemonade (our new favorite word!)

Then we burned off all the calories by playing on the slides in the play zone!



Thanks, Chick-Fil-A! You have customers for life!!

You Scream, I Scream ...

We celebrated the end of rainy days and the return of hot, sunny days with ice cream on the back porch.

Hayden got the whole licking thing down pretty quick!


Noel enjoyed eating his ice cream cone from both ends! (Doesn't it look like he is smoking something illegal in the second picture?)


Notice how neat and tidy Tanner was with ice cream compared to the other boys. I don't think he had a drip of ice cream or chocolate on him anywhere!

He May Not Need That 529 Afterall ...

I guess it has never been a question in our minds that our kids will go to college. In fact, most of our discussions have been around which road of post-graduate work will each boy follow.

However, last evening Hayden showed that he may have a career already lined up -- car wash owner-operator.

He very carefully lined up all the Cozy Coupes and proceeded to wash each one very meticulously.

He even clean the tires and washed out the floor mats. We tipped him well for his efforts!
